Tell Me What You Think.

Hey everyone,
im just about to recive my e-maxx in the mail tommorow(tuesday).
im running gp3300's on it, 7 cell/w deans plugs and the 12 ga ultra wire:030: the usual:027:

just bought them off sylvester for a nice/fair pirce. 50$ CAN
however one bar that connect to the cells had disconected but still attached to the other cells.

Sylvester tryed to salder them back together but didn't work out, so i took of the solder and taped up the battery nice and tight.
because i don't really like how the bars are exposed and scared me that when i get my gorilla maxx chassis in alunimum that they will short to metal to metal contact.
the cells seem to hold nice n' snug because i taped them up with hockey tape, seems to hold better then all the other tapes.

tell me what you think,:018:
the gp3300's with the tape and without
"pics of my e-maxx will come in tommorow.":004:

And again, a mod may move this, only if i were a mod, id be there;)

Mike.L 04.17.2006 07:52 PM

well once i buy the chassis of you then it would fit in this area:p

squeeforever 04.17.2006 07:59 PM

so you didnt solder the bar back onto the cell? that will be a problem of sure. i had one that was barely loose, not even noticeable and i even checked em to be sure, and it didnt move, so i thought it was still soldererd, come to find out it wasnt and that was my whole problem as to why may truck you cut on and off...

Sylvester 04.17.2006 08:21 PM

I recall that the bar was soldered on there nicely.

I run a G2R and have run side by side packs with no protection other than the blue foam that comes with the chassis and have had no problems

Mike.L 04.18.2006 06:10 AM

cut me some slack.
squee they are not aoldered at all but they seemed to hold veryn nicely.
i Know already there going to disconnect already so i just temporarly held them together.
It will be fine for a couple runs, i guess?:p

If not soldered they are going to suck. the bouncing and vibratoin is going to make the loose and gain connection. I hope it don't fry an esc in process.

boss 302 04.18.2006 01:36 PM

that would be a big problem so just solder the battery already

crazyjr 04.18.2006 02:43 PM

Those tabs can only handle so much before they weaken. If you are running brushless the amps you are running through them will not help, so you need to solder it before it becomes a problem
