ntc3 conversions
Just aquired a couple nice nitro tc3 rollers for cheap. Searched through some old threads to get some ideas, but looking to see if anyone has put one together recently what route they went with for a mount. I would like to have something maybe a little nicer than the standard ol l-bracket mount. Probably use a twin force batt tray. Thanks ahead for the help.

just use mikes revo mount thats the cleanest way to mount the motor

I've seen a few jato's converted using the revo mount, does make for a pretty clean setup. I found these pics, but the thread is couple years old, and the poster hasn't been logged in for over a year. Looks like something made for the application.

I don't think those motor mounts are made specifically for converting the NTC3. Most of those look like the person used motor mounts from some other electric TC's and drilled the chassis out to make mounting holes for them. Shouldn't be too difficult to do, just need to figure out which motor mount will be a good fit.
Here are a few examples, not sure if they will actually work, but you get the idea: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ho-Motor-Mount http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...es-Motor-Mount http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ic-Motor-Mount You could also look into using the RC-Monster Revo mount as mentioned, or one of the Tekno motor mounts like this: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...a-Novak-Motors For a battery tray the RC-Monster CRT.5 tray is a good fit for most standard 2S hardcase packs. I am using one in my Diggity Designs XLR8 electric TC3. |
the mounts are from the alex racing baracuda, i have one, so is the sparklie top plate lol

Also looking for a clean mount for a nitro tc3

I think this would be a pretty much bolt in clean mount
http://www.xtremercracing.com/Store_...ue&SnipID=3042 I was needing to order some stuff from ae anyway so I picked up a couple of these to try http://order.aeteam.net/product_deta...?Itemcode=4537 my thinking is the rc0l has several bearing height adjustments that snap in the oval hole. Maybe one will aline the bearing up with the center shaft properly. |
