Hi. Does anyone use them on their emaxx? How do they perform?

i had some back in the day, they only fit the big bores but with the right springs alot of people said they helped, my openion was that they may have helped buy i couldnt tell, the poor old maxx handled pretty bad either way

I have a set for my TC3. Haven't got around to installing them yet. Not sure how noticeable it will be on a TC with relatively small travel and firm shocks. I figure they will have much more pronounced effects on a monster truck that has more suspension travel, and can benefit more from the increased dampening on the upstroke when landing a big jump.

They are supposed to allow less rebound damping (more rebound dampening = slower shock extension from the compressed position) so the suspension can return to ride height quicker after being compressed. So you can run the thicker shock oil (for more compression dampening) for bigger jumps and stiffer handling, but still have less rebound dampening like a lighter shock oil would. It basically allows you to run 100wt for compression, and say 60wt for rebound at the same time. I've never run them, but it sounds like a useful tuning too.

I had some on my Emaxx back in 2003, worked great. I used them with 40WT oil in stock plastic shocks, allowed me to run lighter oil and springs than most others at my track. They are designed for the associated shocks and silimar size shocks, but using a piece of sandpaper rolled into a tube, i was able to make them fit in traxxas plastic and big bores (they are slightly smaller than the associated ones). I use them everywhere i can. Make sure you run the moving part on top on the shaft

Also, what proline tires do you recomend for emaxx for bashing? I mostly drive on grass, gravel, hard dirt, sometimes sand and asphalt...well everything. I was thinking about badlands and rulux half up combo but I think the tire diameter is a bit too small.
