what is this? need technichal support.
Hi!!
I need to know what is the part that i mark in a clear blue circle, i just broke this part a little and (the red color means the piece that is missing) the esc is running good but im just a little afraid. Thanks http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/6193/mambas.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us |
The part in the circle is your bec coil and the piece missing is a tvs resistor. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I had the same thing happen quite some time ago and it ran fine too but I had it repaired anyway. Running 6s I want all the little bits inside to be in top shape.

thank you so much slimthelineman, how did you fix it, you can buy that part anywhere? or did you send it to castle creations?
The part in read is the piece where it brakes and miss, its just a little piece. The bec is what gives the power to the servos right? |
Correct the bec runs stuff but I think the resistor controls voltage ripple in the circuit. Have no idea where to buy it or a tip small enough to solder it sent mine to castle and had it fixed. Call em and talk to tech they are very helpfull.

Sorry to step on your toes slim, but on that earlier version the TVS was mounted on the power board (in the lower right corner) -- on later versions we moved the TVS to the control board.
So all is OK -- just differences between two revisions of the board. |
That's quite all right Patrick. You know better than anyone. Have had any issues with my mmm's since the begining so haven't opened and looked inside for a long time. Love the fact that cc supports their products and customers directly on this forum, but it seems like most posts are when something goes bad. The majority won't post cause their stuff works great. Not that it has anything to do with this post but I think it's swell that cc takes such a hands on approach with their customers.

I know I visit this forum everyday because of the hands on support and information from you and other employees. I can't begin to say how much it is appreciated and it's why I continue to purchase Castle products. Great company for a hobby I love. Thank you. |
My Mamba Monster is rock solid!!!! in not saying it failled!! it was my fault to break that resistor cause i was dissasembling the esc when it fells down to the ground and hit the ground with the resistor. The pic that im showing is not mine, i just took it borrowed from this forum to know what is this part, because when i decided to post this thread my mamba was assembled and i was too boring to dissasemble and take the pic.
So it is dangerous for my servos, lipos, esc,etc that i run my mamba with a little crack on that resistor? just wanna know that cause im far away from USA and before i send my MMM to repair i need to get a MMP so i can have a spair part. Thanks and sorry about my little english. I LOVE MY MAMBA, THE MOST RELIABLE ESC IVE EVER HAD, JUST THE FANS DONT HOLD UP |

Thanx! Patrick |
how much will cost to repair this and send it back to spain?
Thanks patrick |
so if the piece that i broke works to power the servos, can i use an external bec and keep using the esc till a replacement arrives?
thanks |
