Suspension Suspension Suspension (on road) 17" WB
Question: Best suspension setting for street use and fast cornering ?
What work best for you ? Please don't mention Phaltlines... Currently I have 4 rear 6.69" 24mm onroad baja tires. 8 big bores, (only 4 with springs, stock setting) hpi sway bars (hard one I think) 17" wheelbase weight 14-15lbs 44SPUR/18PINION "Stock" motor mount. Top speed 54mph |
I can't give any specific advice on setting up a Savage for on-road, but the basic concepts for generically changing an off-road vehicle to on-road are lowering ride height, stiffer shock springs, heavier oil in the shocks and diffs. If you already have sway bars that should help. Basically making the vehicle more "rigid" in most aspects.

have you driven on road yet with the baja tyres?
Do you find yourself rolling over at all??? I have a 17" wheel base... and have only tried my flux once on road.. i was using Dish rims and bow ties on the rear with stock savage tyres up front(not ideal, but i didnt want to ruin my badlands)... I found it very hard to roll with my lowered setup... but it did cause the truck to bounce a lot Here is a vid http://s878.photobucket.com/albums/a...3-19-27-16.mp4 |
