shrinkwrap a motor?

I'm rebuilding my legendary cybermaxx with a neu 1521. However, it's an all white and blue truck and I don't want to screw up the color scheme.

I want to shrinkwrap the motor in white shrinkwrap to match. I really don't think a thin layer of wrap will effect the temperature much.

What do you guys think?

Of course it will silly - get over the ocd...

whitrzac 02.11.2011 01:13 PM

the shrink-wrap isn't going to match....:na:

batteries are shrinkwraped, even hardcased.

What about paint? The other option is to strip it and polish it.

1521

Is it finned or smooth Sweet cheeks? I say go for it, you can always rip it off if she runs hot.

Harold it may work providing you don't get the motor to hot...worth a shot and a cheap attempt to get what you want

You need a merkin Harold, it will hid all that unsightly nastiness:

I think Sweetcheeks would buy a "Merkin" from the neighborhood bum and wear it as a goatee ???

If it's a Smooth can, I say de-anodize and polish it !

So how'd it go Harold, any luck?

I'm just gathering opinions, it will take me a little while. My e5b is on top of the priority list:yes:

You are forgetting that the power loss via heat dissipation of a decent battery will be quite low, around 1-2%. A motor, being around 90% efficient, will dissipate quite a bit more power as heat. Therefore, anything that insulates the can from the air will cause it to heat up more. So, if you are that concerned about aesthetics, have your desired motor custom anodized from the factory.

But even cheaper (and easier) would be to just use tinted glasses.

With a Merkin? I am sure some decoration "down there" would help. Jeff always complains about the size and I cannot imagine someone with his experience would be so annoyed if it was too big.

I'm sick of him telling me things are fine and then complaining to you over pillow talk. The next time I send him to you I'm not going to put any food or water in his shipping crate. He's been very very bad.

He just pees in the water anyways. And then Hippie drinks it. Gross.

Did you have any idea that Jeff is considered a good source of info over on the lst forums? Wow.
