question about HPI ESCs

Just a quick question, but are the HPI Blur and other CC based ESCs eligible for the non waranty replacement? My flux has been out of waranty but was just wondering that if it ever does let go, can i send it in along with 70 bucks and get a new one?

I'm pretty sure that I remember Castle saying that you can send them in for non warranty replacement. I'm tempted to send mine in for replacement, the MMM that's on my flux still works but if it's so much as damp out it doesn't work and I can't upgrade the firmware on it because HPI hasn't approved the beta firmware from HPI. Actually I just took it off my flux tonight and put a normal monster on there. Bashing my Flux on the snowbanks, not getting covered in snow, just damp out and after about 5 minutes it stopped working. Let it sit for a day and it'll be fine though. I even tried coating it with liquid electric tape but that hasn't helped

actually, i was just reading the warranty sheet that came with my flux and it says the truck has a 2yr warranty, not a 1yr. It doesnt say anything about the ESC specifically though.

Been in China... Sorry.

I'll ask about the policy today.

Thanx!

Cool, thank you!

OK! I got the answer from Jenny in repair--

For warranty service, we will repair/replace as required with HPI branded product.

For non-warranty (pay replacement) either an HPI or Castle branded product can be requested. YOU must make sure that you state that you want a Castle branded product as a replacement -- default will be an HPI branded product.

Thank you!

:great: cool, thanks castle!!

Thats cool, thanks patrick! Am I right in assuming HPI branded electronics have a 2yr warranty? The paperwork that came with my Flux says 2yrs, but doesnt say if it includes the electronics or not. Just curious.
