Center diff camera mount ideas?

Since there is much more room inside of a 1/8 GT body I want to finally play around with my FlyCam and get some on-board video. I would like to have the camera looking directly out of the front windshield, and placing the camera at the center diff will allow this.

My concern is that making a platform high enough to see out of the windshield is going to require some fairly long L-brackets (attached to the brake mounting holes). I am wondering if these will amplify any vibrations and cause the camera to move and shake. So the idea I had is to use small pieces of fuel tubing or o-rings on the mounting screws. Also maybe put a piece of foam under the camera?

What do you guys think, will this work? Or should it be fine without that stuff? Or should I scrap this idea and find a different way to mount the cam altogether?

i dont see why that wouldnt work... the camera is lightweight isnt it? So it should be all good!

I wouldn't use the fuel tubing or anything that will give it flex. It will have the opposite effect of what you want. Just screw it down as best you can.

+1

you could just put the camera on some foam to absorb any shock and zip tie it down?

OK I will try it with no o-rings and see how the video looks. I do plan to mount the camera with 3M double-sided foam tape so maybe that's all I need. The camera is very light Jahay.

EDIT: Here is a pic of the camera. It has a base/pedestal type of thing underneath the camera that you cant see very well, but that is where the cord plugs in. I haven't tried to control it with my transmitter yet, but I don't think it will be too difficult to get working.
