Jammin X1 CRT Conversion
Hi all I just thought I would throw this up on here
My First Conversion from Nitro to Brushless Started with a X1-crt that had been sitting in a rubbish Bag for about three years reason can't stand Nitro fumes any more which makes me sick. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...CRT/IMG004.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...CRT/IMG005.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...CRT/IMG003.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...CRT/IMG001.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...CRT/IMG002.jpg Current Config Castle Creations Mamba Combo (2200kV) Turnigy 5800mAh 4s 25C/35C Lipo's Custom Battery tray & ESC Mount Planned Upgrades Torsen Spider Diffs Front and Rear Super Torsen Center Diff 48tooth Spur (To stop tyres from ballooning) Rc-Monster X2/x1 cr Motor Mount to lower the centre diff. First race meet this weekend hope she Holds together  |
Could you give some feedback when you try the spider diffs. What oil you use, and how you like them. I have a hyper 8,5Pro with three spiders, and it drives different to all other buggy's I've tried.
I found you need to use thinner oil with spiders vs regular diffs. I also have a hyper st pro with spider center-diff. Haven't got to try it yet. Hope it drives as good as the 8,5. Nice truggy you've got there, nice setup. I am not sure about the torsen center. I got one torsen diff from the previous owner of my hyper st, but it doest have drive cups, only a small axle coming out each side with a hole through.... Thomas G |
It is with great sadness to inform you all that Jason Clark (Gassman) passed away on Friday Night Feb 25th.
Jason was the newly elected Vice President of VOLS..... I ask in your understanding with the matter of the Club and what we need to do. Jason was 43 years of age and leaves 2 children that currently reside in New Zealand with their mother. Jason was a larger than life character and was probably best know for his thumping Skopod 62cc 5T........ Our thoughts are with his family and friends........ Rest In Peace Buddy........................... as posted on oz large scale forums |
Rest in Peace

Yes, it was a sad moment.
The last person he really spoke at length to was a mutual friend of ours, Nick formerly from RC Garage & now WOT Hobbies. Jase & I spent many hours traveling to & from country race meets to compete against the best of them. I just completed another mates truggy conversion. Hyper ST. This is the first time I have seen under the shell of Jason's X2. The last time I saw it was when it was sitting on his coffin at the funeral. Enjoy the two pics I have of the Hyper. RIP Jase. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...s/DSC04532.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...s/DSC04533.jpg |
Thanks for posting mate, How is Nick going with WOT hobbies? does he have a web site yet?
Jase had some great cars, i drove his baja5T with the 62cc SkoPod that car was nuts!! what ever happened to it? |
Dunno, you'd have to chat with his mum or maybe Don knows?
Nick's great! So much better than before being stuck at RCG. No site yet, but, the shop is looking fantastic. Not yet open though. It's big! |
He needed to get out on his own!!! looking forward to seeing the shop. Is he doing much in the way of the Large scale
|
Not entirely sure. However, it wouldn't be RC with out large scale.
The shop will cover a lot of things including clothing! |
It’s in Ringwood isn’t it, whats the address so I can find it.
|
Hahahaaa, yes it is!
Main problem is I don't know the address! It's on Whitehorse/Maroondah Rd just after Warrandyte Rd heading east. |
no worries i'll find it. thanks
