I'm back.... again...

I had my netbook up and running well... and then I got ANOTHER frickin' virus.

It happened shortly after Lincpimp rick-rolled me with a gay porn clip. My AV flashed warnings while it played, but my pc still worked, I thought I was safe. Immediately after the next power-on I was virused up. Another one of those that attack your browser and make you buy their AV ware to clean it.

That makes over a dozen viruses over 4 computers in the last 4 months for me. All the same type, a "buy my AV ware" attack.

Can a router get a virus? I was even told by one chick to replace my router.

So I am back. With a new modem, a new router and a used apple powerbook G4. It's a 17 inch with 1g of ram and 60g hd. 1.6ghz processor. I'm not used to this mac OS but I'll figure it out.:na:

A router can't get a virus but an unused firewall can let them in. What antivirus are you using and do you use a spyware removal tool?

_paralyzed_ 02.28.2011 06:11 PM

No AV or removal now. I just got this mac. Used. I cant set up the router without the apple's password, and I don't have it.

well if you have an Mac now I wouldnt worry about getting a virus. Not saying it wont happen, but it is very unlikely

I think he can get a virus on anything and everything with the way he uses his equipment...

Spywares are worst than viruses in my opinion... Hopefully you get that stuff cleaned out, I don't have a MAC so I'm not sure what programs are available...

I also have linux being installed on my netbook this time around.

That's what they all say until they get 4 viruses in less than 4 months.

Do you have a firewall set up?
Sounds like all your computers needs a thorough cleaning... both physically and through software.

Does norton antivirus work on the clap?

simplechamp 02.28.2011 09:31 PM

Try this. You'll never have to worry about viruses ever again. But be careful not to break it, or you computer will get fat, and 9 months later you'll have a PDA waking you up at 3AM because it's hungry.

IEEWW! How does one get so many viruses in such a short time I mean it's not like ...... ooh hang on, nevermind. Hey, that makes me think, LINC + HIPPIE how come you don't suffer these ailments?

It must be really irritating Harold. Most of my issues I believe arise from being computer illiterate, then I hear stories like yours :oh:

Simpleman that's classic:rofl::great:
