Brushless E-Revo sand bash!!!
Used two sets of lipos today as I drove at Falls Lake on the beach. It was awesome! Aside from stripping out the motor mount and scorching my clutch (crispy!), everything went fine. Had it geared for about 42mph and the temps were great. Here's some pics; let me know what you think! :intello:
Specs: Castle 1518 motor Proline Paddles Zippy Flightmax 3s 30c 5800 lipos http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...o/IMG_3184.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...o/IMG_3185.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...o/IMG_3187.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...o/IMG_3195.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...o/IMG_3234.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...o/IMG_3240.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...o/IMG_3241.jpg Despite a loose clutch, I still had trouble with keeping the front end down lol. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...o/IMG_3244.jpg Crispified clutch. (new one on left, old one on right) At one point it was billowing smoke and measured over 300 degrees!!! Good thing I had a spare (T-Maxx brake disk). :intello: |
Jeez, that looks intense!
I bet the cleanup on the truck was sure fun.. |
Crazy fun.I always love a good sand bash.

I really enjoyed myself that day! Loved watching the 15-20 ft. roosters. I actually drove on the lake a bit. :) Because I was the photographer, and not the driver (while taking pics) I did not dare have my driver drive on the water. He still gets left/right mixed up LOL. I would love to get some water driving pics though.....
