Potent brushed motor
 
Ok, I know this is a bit strange coming from me but...

I am looking for a good brushed motor. I have a project in mind that will use 2 brushed motors.

Would like them to have a std mount pattern, 25mm.

5mm or 1/8 shaft is not a big deal, would prefer 1/8 as I have more 32p pinions with 1/8 bore.

Would like the motor to not get much bigger in diameter than a traxxas titan/12t 550.

Can run 2-4s lipo, but would prefer 3s or maybe 4s.

Looking for a motor that will have more torque than the titan 12t 550, but will have around the same kv.

I know you guys fool with robot motors and such, so let me know.

IRRC the dewalt drill motors are the hot ticket right now... they are a larger 775 sized though...

I second Arct1k's suggestion. 5t and 6t are limited to 2s, 7t 3s with caution, 10t 4s with caution, 14t 6s. They are hard to find though, as they aren't being made anymore. I believe Mr Holmes is selling off the last of his stock now, so if you want them you'll have to be quick. Either that or keep a very close eye on the RCC classifieds. Another option though will be the team br00d axle busters. They aren't being sold yet but the wheels are in motion I believe. Plus I'm sure Eddie could have them wound to any kv you needed. They will be a standard size 540 with not so standard power:lol:

I have a 22xx sized brushed motor that will run 4s no sweat... 345oz/in of torque. 5500rpm @12v :yipi:

Hmm, 80 bucks for a puller. Will stick to bl, likely an outrunner. For that price I can run a 2826 axi and I know that the axi will push more power than the puller.

I would love to run dewalt motors, but they are too big...

May just have to run bl and use 2 escs... Or just stick with titans. TBH the 12t titans on 3s will be more than enough. At least they are cheap. I hate to buy a brushed motor though, why waste the money when bl is so cheap...

I'm not sure if this is the exact model, but I bought a bunch of Johnson motors that I use in my son's Rustler and my nephew's Stampede. They are super cheap and pretty much work as well as the titans, imo:

Alrighty, found a pair of johnson motors I picked up a while back...

Has these numers: 2610998810 3c4333

Seems like the last 6 digits are the important ones, however I cannot find info about the motor.

I guess i can wire it up and give it a try.

So parallel or series wiring? Parallel should give more rpm than series, IIRC. Been a long while since I wired up a BL motor.

Parallel will give whatever the input voltage is to each motor, series will split the voltage in half.

So if parallel and 12v each motor sees 12v, whereas series and 12v each motor sees 6v. This is for two motors only. If series is three motors each motor would see 4v.

Yup, so parallel is what I want, get the max rpm I can out of these turds.

Vehicle weight will not be much, less than 5lbs, and top speed of 25mph will be just fine.

Its too bad you think the Dewalt motor would be too big. They are pretty cheap and have tons of power, and brushes for them are like 4 bucks if they ever wear out.

The physical size will not fit. I would use one if I could.
