Castle 2650kv side free play
Is this normal? It is a relatively new motor.

my motor does tha same thing, lm not to sure about it but wen l pulled my motor apart to see somthing, ther pole was stuck on the side cause its magnetic, lm sure someone else has a better answer than me though, not to sure

That's not normal ! I think one of the ballbearings are busted !! There chould be no sideplay on themotor shaft !

Yeah, looking closely the bearing seems just fine, I think the bearing housing is bad. Maybe it came out like that from Castle, can be sure.

the repair set wil cover this but i realy think its the bearing i also got that and the bearing is realy worn out

This is odd, this motor has 6 runs in it. Anyway, maybe I should replace it with something better.Any recommendations?

If youre adjusting the gear mesh to tight you could end up with that problem in half a run.

my gear mesh was perfect and loose i put a paper between and checked with my eye ;) and feeled with my hand by turning it a little bit

The bearing is glued in his housing. After some run (100-150 batteries for me), the glue does'nt glue anymore and you have to reglue it, other than that the housing will take some play (but not immediatly).
Anyway it's not normal to have this kind of side play after a few run. |
