Finally got around to putting my RC8T CE to use.
I bought it as a roller a few months ago. Didn't have any nitro or electric parts.
Parts used. Grid RC motor mount (f'ing awesome) CC 1800kv 1Y motor (gotta love clearance) CC MMM (i've got a few of them) JR Z9000s servo (came with the roller) DSM RX (a 3500 I think) DX3R TX Imex J-Hawg tires on 1/2 offset rims Team Losi Battery Tray (the RC8E version is way to small) Gearing is 15/44 (I want to be able to gear up for speed without using a large pinion). Been running on 4S. Freshly charged packs are almost hitting 50mph. Definitely moves good. I've got 50k in the center diff for some controllable wheelie fun. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...s/IMG_5941.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...s/IMG_5942.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...s/IMG_5943.jpg |
Nice work on the truggy, I like those RC8T's.
Which CC 1800kv motor is that? Looking good and thanks for the help. Nick |
It's a 1518.

Put my 5s lipo in it, same gearing. Hit 57mph. The tires balloon way to much and it takes up a full 3 car wide road to control it.
Motor end bell was around 165F, Lipo 115F, MMM 160F, pretty sure the fan is dead. The motor has so much torque. Flips over backward when I'm not careful and can pop a wheelie at 35mph. |
