Anyone converted a mugen mrx4 or mrx5?

I am looking for a conversion kit or motor mount for this car. Anyone can help? Thxs!

I've searched and searched, they all seem to be home made conversions.

Why not try a brushless ready serpent?

You ask and you shall receive...Although it's a MRX-3...same basic set up. It's a Revo motor mount

I had a machinist press a fitting inside the hub which in turn eliminated the one way bearing and allows me reverse and motor bakes. Eventually I am going to eliminate the AL bottom battery brace and replace it with carbon fiber...

I am running a 1800kv on 6s and it flies...haven't quite dialed in the esc for a little drag brake, motor brakes yet but working on it. The first time I took it out I almost totaled the car..missed a concrete light stanchion by inches doing 50mph+ This is my first true on road car as it has a learning curve as I only have been running in the dirt

I still hv my nexx8 n scrt10. Trying mugen Eco n their truggy:)

I bought the motor mount here at RCM. The motor mount was a pita to mount as drilling and securing the mount is tricky as there is not a lot of room for nylock nuts on top of the mount due to the motor clearance

superek4 04.17.2011 08:15 PM

Do I need a special tool to fit the motor mount? Is mrx3 same as mrx5? Thxs!

magman 04.17.2011 09:45 PM

No special tools...just patience, tape measure and a drill. Not sure if the 3 is the same as the 5. Although the basic cars are the same
