Turnigy lipo charge rate

Im talking about the standard turnigy packs, not the nano-techs. 5000mah 30c packs. Im just tired of charging at 1c, I have a charger capable of much more and want to utilize it. How fast can they be charged?

I have a pair of 5800mah 30C Turnigys I run in my Flux. I have been charging them at 7A since day one, they are still taking full charges and run strong.

Depends on how much you discharge them. Rarely run my cars for more than 5-6 mins at a time(1/10). Usually takes between 10-30 mins depending on what voltage and setup I'm running but I have charged a few different turnigy packs at 10a and they charge quick. Just depends on cell count and capacity I guess. I run a quad charger and a gt-a6-10 so waiting for packs to charge usually isn't a factor. These five charge ports allow me to race three classes and always have packs charged, even for a bump in the event I don't make the A for some reason.

my charger will do 10amps... I charge everything at 10amps, from my 1800mah airplane lipos, to my 6s 4200 mah buggy lipos...

my standard turnigys say 2C, dunno if it's universal though.

My standard Turnigy`s say maximum 2C, and thats what they get...

My 6000mah nanotechs, say 5C maximum on the rear side..
I charge them at 20A (just over 3C), and it works great! No temp AT ALL after charging.

I use a icharger 206B + a 350w puwersupply.. Progressive-rc.com had everything i needed , also paralell charging cables both fpr power and balancing.

I have about 20 Turnigy lipos here. The minumum charge rate I can see on them is 2C. All of my 40C packs have a 5C charge rate as do two of my 30C packs. All others are 2C as a minimum. At the monent I don't have charging gear that can touch even 2C on some of them but will soon hopefully.

i have some 2s 4000 40c Turnigys.. on the pack they show they are 5c and i have been charging them at 20amps.. I have been using them for the last 2 months racing every week and practicing with them so far so good. I use the hyperion battery deal and they always take a full charge and havent had any problems so far..

so i take it there must be a correlation between c rating and charge rate.

Well at least it seems like it with my packs. Also it does make sense that there would be a corelation. Higher C battery should have a lower internal resistance. The lower the internal resistance the easier they should also take on charge. Not sure on this theory and I am happy to be corrected.
