MMP warranty issues if switch removed?
Hi guys,
since the MMP in my Slash 4x4 switched itself of twice after hard landings last time I was at the track with it, I was wondering if it would be OK to loose the switch at both my MMPs without affecting warranty? By the way, maybe an idea for future ESCs: Give the switch a plug at the ESC case. So those of us who don't want/need that switch can simply unplug the switch wire harness and put one of those little jumpers (the ones we used to jumper IDE computer drives for master/slave for example) in there. |
Yes you can remove it, and it won't affect the warranty.

There is no problem removing the switch as long as you don't do it at the circuit board. I have removed most of my switches by cutting the wires about 1" from the case twist them and solder then shrink wrap it. I have had to send in a couple like this and have never had issues with the warranty.

Thank's for the info!
I'll go ahead and loose those switches then... |
