Learning about BL

Could someone point me to a source where I can learn about brushless systems. I am very new at this...kv, cogging and so forth, I have no idea as to what it means. I don't even know what makes an 8 turn different from 9 turn. Is there a source that goes over all of this stuff so I can learn what it means?

BTW, what does cogging mean?

Thanks for all of you help....I never would have gotten this far!

And Cogging is a stutter when you hit the throttle. A little is OK a lot not.

Is a major culprit cheap batteries? Mine cogs that alot, but I have cheap batteries. I do have some IB3800, but will wait till the jig gets here to assemble.

Thanks for the link!

I am half way decent with the mechanical part, it's the eletrical part I have challenges with.

I hope to build one in a year a so, and there is some great advice there, appreciate it.

What is an acceptable temp for a motor and controller?

I really appreciate the time.
