9920 location on Emaxx
I know this seems to be answered with "whereever you want" -- but I'm have a bit of a challenge of creativity. Can any of you running a brushelss system on a stock emaxx frame please post some pics of your layout? Thanks.

a lot of people, like myself, use an L-shaped/angled mount on the other part of the motor mount...
Yup, that is what I use too, except mine is made from carbon fiber. Look at my thread I just started titled, Brushless Revo V2.0. There is a picture of my mount in there.
Nice Truck Squee. The black heatshrink gives it a "stealthy" look..
BTW..not interested in the UE idler anymore? |
thanks! yea, sorry about not replying, i forgot....ill send you a pm about it.
You can get L shaped CF.
Nice clean setup, Squee. That really looks like a nice plan. Now for the big Q - where can I find the correct L shapped material, or is it a fab-at-home kinda project?
Yea, Serum is right. You can get L shaped carbon fiber but I had some cf arch supports, so i flattened them with a heat gun and then cut it and bent it with the heat gun. It does like to flex though, thats why i have foam under it. I think it is just about right.
That is unique CF squee; normal CF isn't able to be bent if you heat it.

1 Attachment(s)
Attached is a pic of my mount..Its an RC10 battery cup secured to the spare motor mount. Works very nicely, and can flex so absorbs impacts a lot.
I used a nylon block, than i milled it down for the 9920 and the UBEC, it also flexes, and i put some foam under for extra protection. You can see some pics in the thread "Thus far pics of my g2r"
Mine was formed with sheet metal. The way it is mounted, it doesn't flex, but I also use 1/4" foam on the bottom and sides.
