castle 2200 on 6s

Or equivalent kv Tekin RX8/T8 truggy combo.

what would be better to have?
. Teking 1/8 motor 2650kv or 2050kv? . or Castle 15 15 1Y 2650kv or 2200kv? |
How many cells do you want to run? if you're looking at 4S, then I'd use the 2650 - these can tolerate wide gearing ratios on 4S. If you're thinking 5-6S then use the lower kv
Is the plan really for 6S? I assume this is going to be a speed run buggy? |

xerun 150a + any 4074 or bigger motor
|
lve already got the 150A ESC, atm the rpm is 64,000 with 11.1v, and if l use a 2200kv motor with 22.2v its only 48,000 and with 2650kv its 58,000 rpm, so wouldn't that mean it would be slower?

Depends, you can always the larger, lower kv motors higher as they generate more torque.
Joe Ford used a 1512 2650kv motor on 6s and hit 100mph easily, so any which is 4 pole and roughly that size & kv should work fine- it will be easier to gear the higher kv motors high enough though, compared to the lower kv motors. |

I cant find that exact video unfortunately, but this one uses the same setup:
and heres a different one of Joe's buggy using a 1518 motor: More than enough power in each setup to hit 100mph, just a case of which is easiest to gear high enough. |
