i was just wondering if i could send my v2 castle creations esc back to castle to get it replaced for a v3? it still works perfectly fine im just wondering if they will replace it for free? i will pay for postage to the castle warehouse. i just want a new one and since i have to send my faulty leopard motor back i might aswell send this back aswell. cause i will be waiting 2 weeks for the motor anyways. also im in Australia

Yep, V2 Monster to V3 monster (actually V5 today...) is still free of charge.

OK so if i sent it back i would get a brand new v5? i tried out the v2 today and it seems to be running really well. Just need to adjust the brake curve with the castle link and it will be all good. If i want to how do i send it back and how long would it take to get the new v5 since i live in Aus thanks alot

The address is on the support page- I would just include a note on the form/ with the esc that says you are sending in a v2 for free upgrade to a v5. You can phone or email to find out specific ( return ) shipping info if you need to ask.

bundy, if i were you, i would continue to use that esc and just wait until it breaks or smokes. the v1 and v2 MMM warranty never expires, so you might as well just save yourself the hassle and just wait until it needs to be exchanged.

^ he wants to exchange the ESC while his motor's gone so he won't have additional downtime later.

josh9mille 06.04.2011 02:06 AM

thats actually not a very smart option. That v2 esc could last many more years and the warranty never expires. But if you send it in for the v5 there is only a 1 year warranty on it. I would run it till it dies and then exchange it for the newest version.

I 'fixed' his motor so he'll be hanging on to the ESC now anyway. And by fixed the motor I mean calibrated the end points on the ESC:lol:

so I can get my burnt v1 replaced free of charge? I've been avoiding sending it in because I don't have $70

Hey guys. I have been having a bit of trouble with my v2 esc. When i go to plug in the esc to the battery sometimes the motor doesnt beep and sometimes the beeps are softer than normal. Then i wiggle the motor wires that are connected to the esc and it beeps loud and normal. I am guessing if i left it like this it wouldnt give me as much top end speed because of the loose connection somewhere??(It felt slower when driving it today) Its definantely on the esc cause you push down on the wires and beeps are loud and normal. I dont really want to send the esc back as i have a race day in 3 weeks and if i send it back now im pretty sure i wouldnt have it in time. Also im pretty sure its not a cold solder because it has never done this till now. Please let me know what you guys think i should do?
thanks alot
