To anyone who wanted to purchase from my for sale ad, please read!
Guys I am going to have to put a hold on all deals going on right now. I am under an evacuation order due to the wild fire here in Sierra Vista. My apologies for delayed shipping and/or PM responses in advance. It might be a couple days or a couple weeks before I can respond to anything or get any deals like this completed. Again I am under evacuation right now and I am just going to have to put a hold on things for a while. Sorry for any inconvenience!

I was allowed back home today but who knows how long that will last, the winds here are supposed to be gusting upwards of 40MPH tomorrow which will make the fire pick up alot. No damage to my home or property though, not a single burnt blade of grass, lets hope it stays that way! The firefighter crews and pilots of the slurry planes and helicopters here have been busting their ass to get this thing under control and local and surrounding area law enforcement and border partrol are doing a great job of keeping the evacuation areas secure and safe (very few incidences of looting/vandals reported so far) and the fire is looking ALOT better/more under control than it was yesterday judging from the amount of smoke coming off the mountain right now, and last night there were only a few isolated orange spots compared to massive bright hot spots from the night before. It's very encouraging to see the pictures of homes still standing even with burnt vegetation around them, it pays off to keep your brush cleared (and lucky to have such good fire crews). I am going to keep a hold on all of my dealings for a while though just in case. Thanks for all the support and understanding guys! :great:
And with this scare I will be adding all of my RC stuff and computers and welding/fabrication equipment to the homeowners insurance. This is the reason why it's good to keep receipts from important purchases. |
Good luck there Krawlin, I live with this threat every Summer also & understand how draining the worry can be
Get out early and take what can't be replaced! |
This drought and fire situation sucks. I had one yesterday that started near my house and burned 50 acres of woods and field until they got it under control. Not for sure on what caused it but it's guessed either a dry tree against a power line or a cigarette out the window. Got within 100 yards of my house. I have a retention system all around me that is extremely dry and dry fields then tons of pine trees and dry brush from the drought.
Glad to see you got back home krawlin. Don't know about you but this freaked me out more than any hurricane we have had. The embers are still smoldering all around and we are hoping for some rain starting tomorrow. We need about a week straight to soak everything thoroughly. There was another fire yesterday about 10 miles from us as well and several small ones have popped up over the last two weeks. |
Currently I'm staying at a hotel because I was evacuated again, this time a mandatory hard evacuation (last one was a soft evac). According to the sheriff's office they don't think anything in my area burned but they haven't been back in there yet to confirm. The fire jumped the highway here again yesterday and 2 places and got really out of hand, high winds to blame for that. Today the winds shifted direction and not nearly as strong as yesterday so the fire will be trying to cross where it already burned so they should be able to get it more under control. Last word on the acres burned is in the 27,000 acre neighborhood.

Hope things turn out ok in the end Krawlin!
Man, flooding in some parts of the US and fires/drought in others. I wish I could send you some of the overabundance of H20 we have here! |
Alright guys I should be back up and running smoothly here within the next couple of days. Evac orders were lifted from my area so I am home now and pretty unlikely for the fire to move again since it's really charred the area about half a mile from my place and all the way up the mountain, it would have to move through all of that burned area again to be much of a threat. Just getting my computer setup again and cleaning up the mess I made of my RC room trying to get all of the important stuff out quickly. Thanks for your patience to anyone who was interested in purchasing stuff/had a pending sale with me.
