What should my next build be?
Looking for input here guys so don't be bashful about posting.
I've had several E maxx MT's and have loved them. Even though they have a high center of gravity and definate weak points. Shock Towers and Bulkheads being a few of them. I also enjoy running the E Revo. Better center of gravity, and overall improved toughness. However, after upgrading to cvd's, the diffs leave alot to be desired. I'm on my third set of diffs now. I want a 4X4 BIG Monster Truck. Something with a low center of gravity. It must have a tough Drivetrain. Something that can handle a large motor like the Castle 1717 on 8S! Serious power requires bullet proof parts. Thinking outside the box is ok. What should my next build be? |
My signature links are my input here.

CEN Genesis. Go big or go home.

BL Kyosho Twinforce/ Madforce with the RC4WD.com alloy axle housings- stick some Imex jumbo maxx/ chevron shoes on it and stretch it a few inches = mahoosive solid axled monster with 1/8 diffs > much win.

Or do like PBO and do a redcat XBE.

Moller Skycar........

Hmm, well the genesis/gst would be my choice for the 1717 and 8s.
I would like to see a 6x6 version of it, to dwarf my 6x6 lst. |
Redcat XBE gets my vote. FG monster (and stadium) truck wheels and tires bolt right on too. The XBE buggy comes with the body mounts for their truck body too. Nice and easy BIG monster truck that should be really durable.
But if you like building stuff like me, either GST/Genesis or LST. I got an LST for cheap that's going to get more muggy like (center diff, single deck chassis to lower cg) and stretched to 1/6 size with an FG body over the winter. |
