OK to shorten wires of 1410 1Y ?

Hi folks!
Since the cables from the SCT system are so freaking long, I was wondring if it's OK to shorten the motor wires of the 1410 1Y?
The Drivers Ed guide says "only Monster and CM36 are OK to shorten wires".
But I don't know, maybe the guide just hasn't been updated?
Someone mentioned to me that he think's he read somewhere that the wires are not to be shortened.
But than again, the cables don't feel like any of the motor windings that are lead out of the cans that I know of.

So, if any of you know if it's ok to shorten the wires, or not, please let me know, thank's.

I'm pretty sure all of the newer CC motors have "shortenable" leads.

Just shake the motor and if the leads flop around like wet spaghetti then it's OK to shorten them.

Yes you can! I shortened mine alot, they're barely over an inch long now.
