New here!

Hey guys I am new here but not RC.
Been in rc for about 5 years.
I have -
Slash 4x4 MMP/3800
Rustler MMP/3800
Rc18t Mamba Micro Pro/6800
and a Mamba XL waiting to go in a car.

how are you liking those 3800 motors? everyone i've seen that has them, including myself, loves those motors.

I love it. Thinking about getting an Losi 810 and run it on 3s and make it a sub 6lbs buggy ready to go.

that motor should be able to handle it as long as you gear it correctly. one of my friends didn't believe me when i told him just how good the 3800 motor was, so i put it in a 3906 (old) e-maxx geared for 35-40mph and after 10 minutes of running hard on 3s, the motor was only 140F. the ambient temp was 90F. that's pretty impressive for a motor that is so small.

Welcome to the best forum around for brushless information. It's nice to see new people that aren't complete newbs. I realize we where all there at one point but some people just don't pick up info very well. Just today I was trying to explain to someone the difference between ni-cd, nimh, and lipo batteries as well as explain to him that the mAh relates to runtime and voltage is going to change speed (talking about a $30 boat he had). I spent a half hour explaining it over and over and then he still had to write it down!

Once again, welcome to the forum!

And feel free to share you future plans with that big motor! (curious to see what you are planning on doing with it) preparing for a go-cart? :)

Welcome, indeed!
