The Deutsche Post....
Hello guys!
A while ago, I ordered a 1930/4 HiAmp motor directly from LMT. They shipped the motor to Saudi Arabia for a costy 35 Euros via Deutsche Post/DHL. The thing that's bugging me is that it has been more than 13 days since it was shipped and it didn't show up till now. Why is that? Is the Deutsche Post as slow as a USPS priority mail? Maybe slower? Any help? Thanks, Alawi :) |
Is there any member around here who ever tried the Deutsche Post?
I'm quite worried about my motor, and don't have any clues whether it's still being transported or the Saudi customs held it in their office?......:( |
Only experience I've had with DHL from Germany was terrible, it took about 4-5 weeks from memory but did eventually turn up. The tracking was never updated, so that was no help in finding out why it took so long. My only advice is just be patient and keep your fingers crossed?
Best of luck Kieren |
4-5 weeks......sheeesh..that's long indeed.
Well, thanks a million dear fellow. That has put 70% of my grief to rest. Thanks indeed. |
Customs might take ages too, the guys here in Holland are taking things as slow as they possible can (at least, that's what i think) Customs could take up to three or four weeks here.

I can't believe it!!! Serum, you finally showed up. How's it going, buddy?!
Believe it or not, my motor just arrived 10 days ago. I can't get it from my mailbox, because the post office do not work in the weekends( Thursday and Firday are the weekend days in most Islamic countries). I'm just glad it's here. I'll get it on Saturday, God's willing. And I'm glad to see you again, Rene! Seeing you takes me back to very nice memories in these forums, lol! |
Al is fine Alawi!
How are you doing? it's been a while, for sure. What's project is this mean motor for? A certain Mugen 1/8th on-road? |
The 1/8 on roader you helped me with was sold a while ago. I lost interest in RC as a whole for a year. The RC virus seems to be ripened now. I'm back!!!
The 1930/4 will be thrown in a 1/10 2wd buggy for speed sake. Crazy setup, but I'm really interested in it. I'll be using 65c 3s ThunderPower batts with this motor. I should duct tape the rear tires to avoid extreme ballooning. |
