VXL Replacment help
 

A friend of mine has been running his 4x4 Slash for about a year now. He recently had to send his VXL ESC into Traxxas for repair since it would no longer work.

He got it back last week and used it twice now he is having the same problem again and needs to send it back in for repair. This is now his third ESC since he bought the truck new. The first one had a button sticking problem right away.

My question is. What is a good replacement for his Traxxas VXL ESC?

He runs the truck on 2s and 3s lipo and is pretty hard on the truck. He really likes that his current ESC is waterproof but that really isn't a deal breaker.

He will be using the stock VXL motor with the new ESC since it has plenty of power for him right now.

Castle MMP (mamba max pro)

This was what I was thinking as well. I just wanted to get another opinion. It's not my truck and I've never owned one.

His only problem with the MM Pro is that it isn't waterproof. I told him we can try and waterproof it but then it voids his warranty.
