Getting back into RC...WTB
Well, I'm back again people.
After a 3+ year hiatus from the RC scene, I miss it! Ive been looking into building up a BL truggy again, or a BL rustler...only RC gear I still have is my 1210i charger and balancer... :whip: But I really don't feel like dropping $1000 on a truggy or $500 on a rustler. So anyone got a project, something RTR or anywhere in between they'll sell me? Not really looking for much of anything 2wd unless its a rustler or possibly a slash. A truggy, buggy, savage, LST, MGT, etc etc... Will be used mainly for bashing, street and offroad. Closer to RTR the better. Also if anyone knows of some good rigs for sale, please tell me! I already looked on ebay and RCU and nothing really seemed all that interesting, so if you've seen anything....let me know! Also need to be informed on the RC scene again, I've been gone for so long I don't know all the new stuff that's out there. Any good motors/ESCs around now that weren't in my day? I've seen the new CC motors, thats about it. Thanks guys! |
Just to clarify I am not opposed to spending $500+, but for a rustler it's not worth it!

Well...I have seen some truggys RTR for around $500- on RCTech. A Mbx5 & 6T respectively.
Or another option is a D8T truggy...great truggy ...here is an add to give you an idea ..http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...-v4-tekin.html You can pick up good used rollers of one of the major mans for around $ 300-350. If you want a slightly older version say a MBX5T for example you can get those for around $200-225+. It really depends on what your intentions are. I picked up a Mugen 5T a yr ago cheap and since I don't race it is perfect for what I use it for |
As far as new equipment goes...Tekin's 1/8 power plants are pretty sweet especially as they are sensored for extra smooth response. More expensive than a castle set up but very nice

Thanks magman, much appreciated. I don't need the new truggies because I'm going to use it as purely a basher and may as well keep costs down.... a 5T sounds like a good option...

I have a Hot Bodies D8T and have it convered with Mike's kit.
This is a great truggy to bash with and has some pretty low start up cost. Most used D8T rollers sell for $160-230 depending on what is included. Good luck, Nick |
Nick- is the truggy for sale?
Thanks! |
HPI has an electric truggy in production in you are interested in that.
