My UE EXT/FLM emaxx

Well i started my built thread back in the UE forum, I was hopping and waiting that it will comeback but at this point who knows? maybe he got tired of us bashing him around for not manufacturing parts or what ever reason. Well heres my finished emaxx for some of the Fellow UE members to enjoy and get their UE EYECANDY

UE EXT 16mm suspension, UE KHead shocktowers, Ofna X1 cvds front dogbones rear, 8 Ofna pirate shocks on black springs, Ofna Deanodized 17mm hexes, castle MMM with a 1515 2200kv motor.

I managed to get 8 ofna shocks from a Ofna super Pirate truck for 30 dollars

I used a Mirror finished OPP film to cover my steering servo and give it that mirror polished look

Now i need a new shell not sure if i should go for that racing look or pick up truck body.

Well i dont really know the difference from UE shock to the Ofna shocks, i heard some people say that the UE shocks are Ofna buggy fronts with TI shafts
these 8 shocks came off a Ofna monster pirate roller that i picked off a friend.

Nice looking maxx.
I like the trick on servo.
Makes a clean look to it.
I would look at a new bumper though.

Ofna Monster Pirate, Dominator and Titan should all have the same shocks. As mentioned "UE super shocks" are just Ofna front buggy shocks renamed.

That is a well thought out build! I love that you used a traxxas black 2200 motor to keep with the color scheme. RPM makes the same bumper in black, it would be a low cost alternative to alloy and be new, so as not to take away any of the luster of the shiny bits.

I have a love/hate relationship with UE. I am a maxx fanatic, and love all things maxx. After years of trying to be allowed on the UE forums and never a reply from Robin I have boycotted UE parts. I have spent many thousands on maxx trucks, but have not and will not ever buy a UE product. But they all look so damn good!

I am flattered by your quote of me in your signature. I feel like I am a part of the Rc-M "family" of regulars and try to be a supportive member of this site. I answer questions when I can, and always try to be funny, even if I can't:lol:

Welcome to Rc-Monster!:intello: Thank you for sharing the eye candy:mdr:

I saw a wing mount on flea-bay earlier this week.Plus i saw a couple of people on RCTECH that had some supermaxx parts for sale.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Robin liked the Ofna shock design so much that he contacted them and asked if he could make bodies, caps, and shafts to fit his needs, and no other stock Ofna shock is the same size as the Supershocks.

Ofna Front shocks are way too short,
Ofna Rear shocks are way too long,
UE Supershocks are just right!

Anyway, as I was told, the Supershocks are part Ofna EXCEPT for the BODIES, CAPS & Ti Shafts...they are NOT stock Ofna Parts. So, if you want REAL Supershocks and they are not in stock at the UE Store (if they are, just buy them there), you need to buy the BODIES, CAPS & Ti Shafts from the UE Store and then buy Rear Ofna shocks (I like Ravager Rear Shocks) and swap out the Bodies, Caps, Shafts & cut the shaft booties a little shorter to fit properly.

Edit: He did the same with the UE 4-Shoe Clutch...he liked the design but wanted to make it better so he redesigned it, asked Ofna if they wanted first run at it, then starteed selling them as UE Products since Ofna didn't want it and gave him permission, just like with the shocks.
