Fitting the UE SuperMaxx servo saver?
 

I have the UE SuperMaxx servo saver:

I noticed the chassis in which is installed (FLM10800) looks like this:

Has my FLM10800 chassis been modified? Is it always necessary to modify a chassis to be able to fit the UE SuperMaxx servo saver?

Your chassis is not modified. T-maxx and UE chassis' attachment points are all on the same plane, i.e. level with one another. Consider a flat t-maxx chassis for reference.

The original 3906 e-maxx chassis he is referring to was level on the bottom EXCEPT FOR 2 little plastic nubs where the steering posts slid into. These nubs had to be dremeled off.

Getting the UE servo saver setup properly and fitting exactly the way it should can sometimes be a bit tricky, but it does work well and it is the best one on the market. I only have the old style Maxx's (3906) and I am not sure how much of a difference there is between that one and the newer Maxx's (3905). I believe that the steering setup is the same.

And I agree with you Harold about using the RCM hybrid bulks, and then you can either use the UE 6 or 8 Spyder diffs, or the HB lightning diffs with hardened gears. The latter may be easier to find and for sure cheaper. Of course if you have the cash to spend just place your order in the UE store and go for the gusto.

Those are just aluminum washers Jerry. They are widely available and do really dress up a build.

I not sure which model chassis you have.
On the 3906 style the ue servo save fits no issues.
If going to the 3905 style you need to mod the chassis or remove the 2 spacers ue has on the top post.

I was wondering if I could use the UE servo saver with the newer FLM10900 chassis? Does anyone have a picture of the backside of the FLM10900?

I have the UE servo saver installed on my 10900 flm chassis.
Just remove the top spacers on post.
I didn't think it would fit at first but figured out had to remove the spacers.

you might wanna consider shifting your tranny back some.Just from what i can tell in the pic thats an awfully long rear dog bone your going to need for the rear and an awfully short one you'll need for the front.Those lengths might be hard to find.Just my 2 cents
