Best 4mm bullets?
 

Hey guys,

As we all know... all bullets arent created equal :)

i'm looking for suggestion on which 4mm bullets are the best?

at the moment i'm using the hobbyking ones that come with nanotechs... and the cage design dont seem to be the best...

so... any tips?

I'm liking the Castle ones. When they become loose, I just stick a razor blade in between the prongs and all is well again.

The Castle ones are by far the best.

now... anyone reccomend some low profile ones for batteries? as the castle ones will be used to pair my Tenshock to my mmp

If the battery has the 4mm sockets... the Castle ones will work best there too.

i was after some low profile ones... but i guess i could just cut some of the castle ones out :P

Naviga have a maximum battery pack weight for boat racing, which includes wire, shrink and connectors I have been close to the limit on several packs despite removing the circuit board, shortening the wires back as much as is feasable, and had to cut the solder buckets off my 6mm connectors which roughly halves the weight of a pair, more weight can come off the female than the male, you need to leave some meat on the back of the male to maintain strength for spring pressure but the female back can be cut foil thick more or less.

Don't cut through the bucket in one go on the male, cut a little, cool it in water, cut a little more, cool again and continue like that until its done, I cut my first couple straight through and although I still left some meat behind the prongs they wouldn't maintain spring pressure, I had got them too hot and annealed the brass making it too soft to spring.

also... 4mm bullets.. does anyone know if 12awg wire will fit in them?
