UE SuperShocks - 4 or 8 shocks?

On the RacerX SuperShock (UE10120) details page here - http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/shocks.shtml - it's mentioned that they only run 4 shocks on a 10lbs RTR truck.

10lbs RTR is not a lot to me - I think that's what my trucks weigh without batteries and motor installed. Would I be better of running 8 shocks instead?

It's personal preference. I ran 4 shocks on my gmaxx which weighs about 14 lbs. I used the black spring in the rear and blue in front with 40 wt oil all around.

I have ran 4 shocks on most everything as well.
I like the looks of the 8 shocks though.

Thanks guys. Appreciate your inputs. About to make an order for two trucks so need to decide on 2 or 4 kits.

Could put order in for 2 and if don't like order the others to add on next order.
I know don't like the extra shipping but I know I always ordering stuff after put one order in.

It's nice to have the 8 so you can swap out fast I went with 8. get the mother load shock kit lhs never have the stuff to fix. shafts would be nice

You are right, of course. It's just that it's very troublesome for me to order from UE since I'm from Scandinavia.

Yep but I guess a couple of guys in your "neighbourhood", can take em off your hands, if you only prefer 4 on each truck

Look at all your 1/8th scaled Truggies and Buggies... They use 4 shocks. I'd say if you are pushing more than 14 lbs OK go with 8. But 4 drives so much better....... Much faster response to offroad conditions.....
