Those don't look like any UE wheels that I have ever seen, the listing also says that they fit a 17MM hex. Robin didn't make very many sets with a 17MM hex. You can see some of the more common wheels UE made here.

Yeah, but apparantly they are UE wheels with 17mm hex. Anybody has info on such UE wheels and which tires fits them?

coolhandcountry 01.20.2012 05:46 PM

Looks like a regular 3.2 size as well. Them size tires seem harder to come by these days.

hashemio 01.20.2012 06:25 PM

I am the seller, UE made tons of 17mm rims, some of them can be seen here:

And yes! They fit the regular 3.2" Tires.

Looks like Panther is the only ones still in business with 3.2" tires:

I don't think they look like UE rims at all. I have never seen a UE rim with dimples on the rim itself, but I was not around during the 03 - 05 days so I might be wrong. Also the backspacing does not look like UE.

Just my opinion though, I could be mistaken. Maybe one of the vets might chime in.

Isaw simillar ones from SPI racing but their page isnt pulling up i would say they are SPI??

AIJames 01.22.2012 01:45 AM

the rear of them def looks like SPI but the front of most SPI i have seen look generically cheap compared to these

gumleguf 01.22.2012 07:08 AM

Hi all. Thanks for your inputs. I never questioned whether these wheels were UE or not, cause they are.

I was just wondering which 3.2" tires is still in the market. Looks like Panther still makes 3.2" tires.

Ue wheels or not???

Well what I think people are wondering is if they really are UE aluminum wheels or not. Just because you say they are does not make it so. Please don't take this personal as I am trying to help you here. If you have some sort of link that shows that UE made this particular wheel then show people that proof. Nothing that has been shown up to now comes close to showing anyone that these are authentic UE wheel. If the UE forum was up one could end the questionable inormation with a response from Robin or one of the UE forum old timers who actually knows for sure. I do not know one way or the other, but I have not seen a UE wheel that looks like the one you are showing us. It looks questionable because of the amount of off-set, and that design does not show up in any of the UE store info old or new. Not even a second member who can post up on his reputation has come onboard and said YES these are UE wheels.

I have a set of SPI wheels myself and my wheels look nothing like those. In fact those look more like something that RC4WD put out a few years back. Don't hate the question, or the messenger. Just put up the proof.

All; I removed the pictures in my first post. It was never my intention to discuss whether these wheels are UE or not. I simply needed info on what wheel model they were and what tires are still available for them.

They were put up for sale by an ebay seller who sells lots of GorillaMaxx and UE stuff and who has a 100% positive feedback. I am certain he knows what he is selling.

gumleguf 01.22.2012 02:36 PM

Okay, so apparantly removing Google Photos isn't so easy after all, but you get my point...

E-Revonut 01.22.2012 03:41 PM

proline mashers are still available in 3.2

gumleguf 01.22.2012 03:55 PM

Really? Traxxas still produces 3.2" tires?
