diff cases and cups

i've got a pair of rd logics aluminum diff cases and a pair of integy aluminum diff cups to go in my g2r. should i wait until i roast the stock diffs or should i go ahead and throw them in now? i'm running a 1950/8turn on 6s 20c lipo. the reason for asking is that the truck is almost fully assembled with blue locktite. i don't really feel like tearing it down unless these parts will make a nice difference. thanks, carl.

If i had them, i would put them in. If you haven't heard any grinding, might as well put them in. mine have not given me problems, though stock, but I'm only running a HV brushless. You on the other hand are running about 5 times the power i am, so i would

thanks for the reply, crazy. i'm wiring the esc, batts, and motor as we speak. i can't wait to run the truck, hopefully this weekend.

With lipos, your taking off some of the stress on the drivetrain, the stockers would hold for a while, but you might as well put in the better ones.

I can't say about the revo but in the maxx it made a difference.

I have heard about people running .28 to .32's with stock diffs and the only problems i had was with assenbly issues from the factory, if you got a good set they should do good, but if you got the good stuff and not using them, it could cost you about $12 an end if you blow them both.

i'll put them in this weekend. won't be able to run till next week. i don't like my esc mount, gonna try something different. thanks again everyone, carl.

Kind of related to this... Has anyone tried the RR Revo diff gears? Are they better than the stockers? I am rebilding my diffs. I blew out the rear last time I ran. I ran the 9XL on 6s Lipo and it didn't take long to blow the rear diff.(blew the side of the diff cup out) I'm going w aluminum cases, cups and am thinking about getting the RR gears. Are the RR gears worth the $40 a set, or am I just wasting $80 to do both sets. Will the alloy cups and cases be enough with stock gears if I shim them properly? Or are threr any other diff gear solutions that Im not considering?
