Just diggin up an OLD thread cuz I can. :)
This one made me laugh when I read the setup Mike was racing back then. Kinda funny how far its come in just a few years. That setup wouldnt be considered anything more than an entry level play-thing now days, but was probably State-of-the-Art back then. |
Note the use of primarily L motors...
|
An 8L, 12 cells, with good cells it hauls on 12 cells.
|
Yes, the L motor then.......and before that, when BL came to the car seen, they were using S cans, and get this, they say they ran cool.... yeah, right.
|
an L can and 9920.... That was my first brushless setup too. Just makes me laugh is all. Thinking I spend what that whole system cost on just a battery pack now.
Its makin me think, Maybe its just me thats out of hand here?? |

I guess they could get away with running the S can motors because we had nothing more than 2400 NiCD, or 2800 NiMH? So it would only have 10 mins of runtime, and these were Hacker motors, I think they are a little more efficient than Feigao's, IIRC.

Thats what i think, as amp capacity goes up, so does current used, providing the components can take it
