Hong Nor X3 Sabre electric conversion?
Anyone know if rc-monster or Tekno have any plans for making a conversion for the Hong Nor X3 Sabre buggy?
|
Not opposed to it, but would need the buggy to make a conversion. :)

If I'd live nearby I could come and drop mine off and you could measure it up, but I assume you'r not living in Stockholm Sweden? ;-) Maybe someone else can make that contribution? |
Mike - Dont you just need the CD uprights to make a motor mount?

Although it actually looks like a PITA - you need both front and rear and a custom top plate. Have you checked if the holes line up with an X2 centre diff? |
Micke_b - yeah, Sweden isn't exactly close. If I knew someone that had one, I would borrow it. You are the first to ask about it - perhaps the next guy that asks will live closer. :)
Arct1k - While I could technically make the mount with only the center diff assembly, it can sometimes lead to interference with other parts, such as the mud guards or rear chassis brace - it is best to have the entire center chassis assembly. The more complete the car I am working with, the more refined the conversion can be. |
