Gorilla Snawt

Hey guys,
I bought a tub of this last year and I'm now down to my last bit. I can't seem to find a place to buy this stuff anymore. Does anyone know of a place where I can get this? Or is there a good alternative?

hashemio 03.19.2012 02:29 PM

The guy used to sell it on eBay and then he stopped for some reason. I looked into it and it looks like his eBay account closed because he didn't ship people's orders. If you find anywhere to get it, please let me know because I need some as well.

Damn! I was going to get some for my project.

Vanquish products do a similar product I believe.

Did you buy the Vanquish Products one? I am looking for a good quality lubricant to put inside of all my drive cups but I do not want grease flying everywhere when I go fast. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes I did. This is the first time I have heard of this product, but I hope that it works in a similar way to the "snawt". I'll let you guys know.

Would like to know that as well. It doesn't say it contain the teflon like the gorilla snawt. And vanquish products are normally for crawlers and the rpm these trucks running are not as high as our/ brushless truck. But will wait for your reviews.

best thing I have found to put on dogbone ends / in cups is melted wax. Just heat up the dogbone a little and melt wax all over it. Stops squeaking, doesn't collect dirt, last quite a long time.

After trying so much stuff over the years, that is what I ended up doing and it does work very well, it does offer enough lubrication to keep all the parts squeak free, dirt and dust doesn't stick very well to wax, water doesn't stay on wax and it keeps the rust out also. Real cheap and highly effective.

Has any one tried Boeshield T-9 ?

RC toy 03.21.2012 03:49 PM

What kind of wax? Candle? Google translator shows may kinds of wax :whip:

brainanator 03.21.2012 09:31 PM

^ yes, I use standard candle wax (any scent you want to match your mood). ;)
I guess you can just use the cheapest you can find, quality doesn't matter really on the dogbones. (dont use your wife's fancy candles, you'll get in trouble)
