SC pro system on a Ve8

Can you guys talk about using the Castle Creations 1/10 Mamba Max Pro SCT 2400kV System on a hot bodies Ve8? Underpowered or on the spot?

I see quite a few guys running that set up on 3s at the local track (different 1/8th buggies). Should be right on the money for smaller tracks

I´ll be using 2x2S packs in series...

I use the MMP in my buggies on 5s - as long as the fan is unobstructed it works well. A capacitor may be needed in the rx(glitch buster for example) on some setups, but I have had great luck with the mmp in 1/8 buggy applications.

actually i´m more concerned about the motor... since it´s designed for short course application.

Haven't tried it myself - a smooth driver could probably make it work in many track conditions, though.

The kv is a little higher than I like @4s, but I think it would be fine. I run 1509 motors in my Ve8's (1@4s 1@6s) and the 2400 is more like a 1512 size motor

I was playing around and set the CC 2400 motor up in a mugen eco and ran it on 4s. It worked great on an indoor track. No heat issues and plenty of power. That motor was actually quite a beast on 4s. You should be able to make that work no problem.

It worked fine on 3s too. Just a little lacking in snap IMO.
