Metal output gear?

Hey guys, my e-maxx is the old style with a ton of upgrades.
It has one big problem recently though. has distroyed two of the nylon output gears in the past month and with the new battery i just put in it, i was only at about 80% throttle in grass when it happened. So my question is does anyone make a matal output gear for it? and if so, would you recomend it?

If RCM Mike doesn't carry it I'd suggest checking with Robinson Racing, Kershaw Design or Gorilla Max ?

None of those guys sell those parts, you're looking at UltraMaxxed Titanium or aluminium gears or RC4WD aluminium gears, and both of those are discontinued long ago.

You can however contact ChrisMechanic, he made his own steel output gears....

Or a cheaper route would be to used the newer style transmission that comes stock with metal gears. You would need to make some adapters to mount it.

thanks guys, thankfully i had a spare so it was a quick fix. i limited the ESC to 75% throttle for a run and it still had slightly more power than what's really needed in that thing, i can barly reach full throttle as is and i has one of my tires blow out on me lol
so i think for now i'll stick to stock but it'll deffinatly keep that in mind for when i happens again.
thanks for the information :)

metal idler, 1st gear removed, shimmed and locked in 2nd.
not sure when the new idler would accomplish with the new imput shaft other than gear it up, witch is deffinatly not needed.
