new project start lst2 or hellfire?
i started my first revo project and finished it building another for back up half way done. brushless is gunna happen for one waiting on money. now i want to convert another truck to keep me busy. i was contemplationg the lst2 which i hear very good things about or the hellfire which also has good news. one of these will be running brushless of course.
lst 2 1. big can go anywhere 2. stable 3. durable 4. good basher hellfire 1. speeder 2. stable 3. durable? (parts not as beefy but look good) 4. good basher? (looks more of a racer) this is from what i heard and need feedback from other people. which one would you get and what problems are associated with each truck. and why would you prefer one over the other. |
Well, what will be doing with the truck? If racing, I would go with the Hellfire, for bashing the LST2 would be a better choice.

I would go for the Hellfire either way. It's a VERY nice truck.

There has been a lst converted here. I don't know if some one has done the hellfire yet. I thought about one of these myself. I think it would be a awesome truck.

thnx for the info im probably going to do more basing than anything not really a track guy but would like sumthin track worthy. the lst2 juss has this size and stability about it that i like. the hellfire has the low agile look. which would be easier to convert? im lookin at two oppposite trucks the easy factor might help me make my decision.

Well the hellfire you going to need some harden pinions or swap the spur to a plastic one. I think you need an adapter for this. NL12 is doing a hellfire. You could ask him how much trouble it is. I think he has got mike to make some parts for him.

koo ill see wats up if its too much of a money hassle im not in. thats what would stop my motive

I honestly think the LST2 would be harder because of the tranny setup. If you want to maintain a 2 speed that is. I think the Hellfire would be more of a straight forward conversion and I think it would be just as bashworth.

i know u are not an lst or hellfire expert but do u think a e-maxx tranny could fit in an lst or hellfire

I'm not sure about on the LST, but on a Hellfire, it's possible.custom shafts would be needed and it would raise the COG and it would add unwanted weight. I think a center diff would be the best option.

With the right mounts or moding the emaxxtrans can be pretty much put anything.

I just got finished converting my hellfire to electric. It is one mean fast machine, I am still trying to find a plastic gear for the center diff but besides that it is extremely fast and very nimble. I don't have a hosting site so I can't post pics. :(
