Traxxas "CUSH" slipper in a slash?????????

I've picked up a slash 4x4 and would love to know if anyone has made a 8mm shaft (to fit the cush slipper/spur) that can replace the stock 6mm shaft in the slash. I'm sure it'd be easy enough but I don't have the equipment to make one myself. The cush slipper system rocks and I'd love to make my slash spur/pinion mod 1 so if anyone can help me out I'd be stoked.
Thanks

Can you be a little more specific? Which shaft do you mean?

in the xo-1, the shaft is a short 8mm round rod that holds the spur with bearings on either side, the slash has a longer 6mm round shaft with the spur and revo slipper system. I have checked and I believe a mod 1 46t spur and cush slipper system will fit if an 8mm round shaft the same length as the slash shaft with the xo-1 spur held into place where the slash spur should be, should be simple right? I'd like to run 46t spur with a 26t pinion, I recon this would make a nice set up in a slash powered by a 1/8th electronic system.

I haven't seen the parts you are talking about, so I might be thinking of this wrongly, but what about a sleeve, 6mm ID 8mm OD to go over the stock 6mm shaft? Kind of like Mikes pinion adapters to use larger bore pinions on smaller shaft motors.

direct drive ftw:yes:

I was thinking of a sleeve but figured I'd ask about first to see if someone had already gone to the trouble, I guess I'll have to see mu engineer mate and see what he can do for me.

direct drive ftw??????????????

Direct drive for the win! I don't like slippers, or cush drive setups. I prefer stronger components over needing a "failsafe" for my drivetrain.

Is the mod1 gearing the only reason you want to switch? You can just mount mod1 spurs to your existing slipper...

sweet, I'll look into the mod 1 spur to kick me off then work out what I want to do from there, thanks.
