Li-Po question

Hi all, I have a "ICE" charger and I charged a SMC 5200 mah 2S1P and it puffed just a little bit. It did not get warm at all, I had a astro blinky on it and it charged and balanced up to 4.10 on each cell. Is it trash or not???? It is nice to be back here, I stopped RCing for about 3 or 4 years. Now I am going to build some of my trucks that I had put away. Like my G-MAXX and FLM MAXX and a couple of stock E-MAXX's. I see some things have changed and some have not. I am happy to see RC Mike's is still going strong.
Thanks

Which ICE charger exactly, what charge settings did you use ( no built in balancer? )?

If the batts have been sat for a long time with no use then they may be done for, especially if they puffed during charging. Time for some new batts probably...

In taking what Neil said a bit further, if indeed they are no good, look at GensAce li-po's. Great valve pack and great performer.

Thanks guys for the help. Yes my ICE is an older one, it does charge Li-PO and LI-ion but it does not balance, But I had my Astro-blinky hooked to the battery. and it did charge to 4.1 and 4.1 on each cell. I think I may have charged it to fast. I have not used it yet but I have left the astro-blinky on it for a few days and now it reads 4.07 and 4.08 on each cell. My worry is that if I try to run both battery's (on my maxx) the one that is slightly puffed may catch fire. Magman, I looked at the Genace li-po's and they look great. Can I run a Genace with a SMC as long as the #'s match? I am sorry I am a little behind the times but like I said I have been out of the hobby for 3 or 4 years
