CEN GST-E check it out

factory center diff, could be the baddest of the bunch. Certainly up near on the biggest of the 1/8 to 1/10 batch of brushless trucks

Looks nice. In looking at the layout, my only gripe is motor choice would be limited. For a truck of that size a 1520 CC motor or a 1717 would be perfect....doubtful if either would fit. Wonder what the weight is...15lbs+ or so maybe?

I have always like this particular truck for its sheer size...a true Monster truck....great basher for say sand pits due to its size and width. I don't know that much about them or heard much so I never took the leap to buy one.

The Diff looks beefy and strong, how would it evaluate net to savage bullet proof diff. Never owned a CEN but from the forums their parts are beefy, lot of people are trying to use their CVD's and Diffs.

The tires look good also, low profile also. Any one tried them I am seriously considering them. gonna research / search for dimensions and weight, any one have any idea?

Is it just me or is an 80 amp esc a little light? I think 150 amp is more in order.

Good catch on the specs. I personally would probably run the MMMXL just to have no worries due to the weight of the truck. I can't find weight listed on the sites I checked but, as I said above, it probably weighs 15+lbs .

In looking at this further, as I stated above, motor choice is limited with factory layout. That would be the first thing i'd change....or Mike would anyway. :) I personally hate the 8 shock setup. A set of Losi muggy shocks would be perfect but, I also doubt they would fit.

Sorry, just stating the obvious here.

It's nice to see a company that looks at how the customers use there trucks and make changes. I have gone brushless with my genesis as well as others, but the specs do look underwhelming.

The standard gst 7.7 is about 17lbs I believe, I'd think this weighs about the same.
I put losi shocks on my nemesis brushless xl conversion, so far I really like them. They required custom mounts.

Found your thread on your build...looks really great!

Here's a few more. I've had very little time to take it out so I can't really say how their holding up. I can say that it's terrifying to drive lol.
Btw, I have raven dual rate springs on the shocks.

Of all the true monster trucks I have seen, What you did is exactly what I have been looking to do. I really like the 1/5 scales but, cant afford one. Your truck is a great compromise.

IrishChamp 09.30.2012 12:55 AM

Thanks :)
