Anyone do esc repair?

Castle does repairs on their esc's... :)

Yea what type of ESC's are they and what type of problems are you having with them? Sometimes contacting the manufacturer can lead you in the right direction and maybe even to a free or reduced price for repairs. I had a half dozen of so of the original EMaxx EVX ESC's and contacted Traxxas to find out what to do with them for repair. They had me send them in, and they in turn sent me 8 brand new EVX2's in exchange with no extra charge.

Both are kontronik, one is a jive 120hv, which had a reverse circuit happen. I did a little digging and others said Kimtronik would not repair from this happening, that they basically kept the esc hostage, would not return it and offered 10% off a new one.
The 2nd is a kontronik 55-10-32, it looks like smoke came out of the capacitors but I'm not sure, it basically overloaded I think.
