Who makes good dogbones?

Does anyone make a dogbone that my Savage won't snap like a tooth-pick?

Keep in mind I have a Savage .25 converted to BL. The newer heavy duty flux dogbones probably won't fit. I read somewhere on here that the drive cups are larger.

I believe Mike makes some custom dogbones.

Have you looked into these guys?

RCAlloys

A couple of my friends have ordered custom dogbones from them, and had very good luck.

What???

Are they back in business making drivesharts? When did this happen? They use to be the only go to guys for driveshafts, but decided to move away from making them a few years ago. If they are back to making custom shafts everyone needs to know about this.

+1 That's what I was thinking too!
Tell us if you can order from them.

oh no :oh:

I did not know this, as its been a few years since I, or anyone I know, have ordered from them...I guess I just assumed they were still doing it.

Sorry for the bad reference RC-NUT, I had no idea they stopped doing this.

My apologies, guess I need to pay more attention for a while since I haven't been around the hobby for a few years.

Unfortunately.

Unfortunately I exchanged communications with the guy from RCAlloys when all of this went down, and he told me that business was getting too busy with higher dollar items, and they just did not have the time or the manpower to continue making R/C driveshafts because the profit could not justify the resources. From what I know MonsterMike & maybe Dan at Kershaw Designs are the only two sources making them anymore.
