inexpensive engineered Li-Pos

http://www.all-battery.com/

these guys are great! Check out their prices on the Li-Po!!!!

they even have supplies for building your own packs. And I saw a Li-Po pack for the Tx. Never saw one of those before.

Whatch out Li-Po here we come.

squeeforever 05.24.2006 12:05 PM

Honestly, there packs aren't all that great in price and quality. All the higher mah packs were only made of 2000mah cells....

I did however find these kinda interesting...

I have seen better prices on the same mah lipo. They do have the li ion cells though.

jhautz 05.27.2006 03:46 PM

I have these and they are pretty decent for the $

I got these from this guy. He is only a couple towns away from me and is a really good guy. The packs so far seem decent. I will say that they tend to be imballanced every couple charges, but as long as you balace them every few runs all is good. Good power, good workmanship and good price. Anyone else try these?

100$ for the 3S2P 8000 mah, seems like a good deal to me!

I found:
http://www.maxamps.com the best "value".

Those above, don't look that great.

MetalMan 05.27.2006 06:26 PM

True RC cells actually are pretty good. Nick, what are you basing your statement off of? These cells actually perform as they are rated. I was planning on getting 2 2s 8000mah packs from True RC, but then they ran out of stock, and I ran out of money.

squeeforever 05.27.2006 07:56 PM

I would NEVER buy from Max Amps after what happend to Daniel.

MetalMan 05.27.2006 08:34 PM

His situation is a little different, and the 4000mah cell isn't the only one they sell. I'm not saying that his situation was justified, just different circumstances (he's in Europe, for example). I've had good luck with Maxamps, recently received a 2s 6000mah battery.

coolhandcountry 05.27.2006 09:11 PM

Well that would be like not buying the ib 3800 or 4200 cause the problems people had.
I have fried a gp 3300 and gp 3700 to. It is a possiblity you get a bad cell

squeeforever 05.27.2006 09:15 PM

It's not the problems he had with them but the customer service.

MetalMan 05.27.2006 09:49 PM

If you go over to the RC Groups forum, many people swear by the customer service of Maxamps. One situation that is bad can't discount how good a company might be.

What happend?

coolhandcountry 05.28.2006 07:05 AM

Well I got a letter with mine that says you should break them in for the first 15 cycles. I don't know if this may have anything to do with it or not. I am not sure why they want to break them in either.

MetalMan 05.28.2006 09:21 AM

Lipos will improve their performance slightly over the first few cycles of their life. Some airplane guys advocate breaking in Lipos, others don't worry about it. Personally, I don't do it, and my I don't think that we would notice the difference in RC cars.
