HPI USA Bankrupt, assets bought by Hobbico...
|
whow....crazy man. Thanks for the tips.

I wonder if hobbico will continue with the Octane? I would guess that it is so close to production that you would have to come out with it.... Unless the performance wasn't there and HPI went broke trying to help a lost cause. I don't know, I'm just speculating. I personally loved the idea of it.

Guess this explains the issues with Hobao parts supply issues right now.
HPI won the rights to import Hobao from OFNA, and now HPI goes bankrupt. Leading to further disruptions in parts. My Hyper 10TT is currently dead in the water thanks to a distinct lack of A-arms to keep it going. Should Hobao parts keep getting interrupted like this I may have to shelve the cars until its all sorted out. And I just finished the Hyper One Seven conversion too! :( |
Huh? How did the USA market go bankrupt? HPI is 2nd best selling RC Brand out there...behind Traxxas.
|
Really? I'm amazed that Tamiya are not way out in front of both if that is true. Round my way every (non-specialist) model shop has a dozen or more Tamiyas, but few have even a single Traxxas, I'd never even heard of them before I got on the internet. HPI are a little bigger over here, but are still nothing in comparison to Tamiya.
