Monster Jam Fall Guy Truck
Hey
I'm designing a Monster Truck, It has an E-Maxx 2 speed gearbox with a 2350Kv motor, 3 servos and a 150A esc. I use Twin Force axles, Clod Buster wheels, Nitro USA-1 and Rumbler tyres It's 420mm long and has a Wheel Base of 335mm and the top cage will be separate, with spacers between the side and main chassis Here are a few photos Version 4 CAD drawing (should be the final version but that might change) http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...psfb4b2ca6.jpg Prototype in 5mm black delrin and version 2 in 5mm alloy http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps74a57333.jpg Version 2 with short shocks http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps126f783b.jpg Version 2 with long shocks, gearbox and servos installed (Why I need the version 4) http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...psbaf963c0.jpg 2 speed shifting servo http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps44ef8649.jpg Servo testing with reversing Y harness http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...psaac9ffc3.jpg F150 body http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...psbb092667.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps607afd17.jpg E-Maxx 3906 body http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...psbbf7f321.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps6568963e.jpg Test with ESC Morten |
Version 4
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps8eca9e57.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps98141d4d.jpg Time to build Made a new motor mount, centered the motor over the gearbox and got the battery tray in the back now http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps703caace.jpg The wiring is still a bit spaghetti like http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps5531057f.jpg and I got my Rumbler tyres http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...pseb7f005d.jpg |
The template for the Cab section
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...psd95fdb51.jpg Still need to make 2 more hub's http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...psabe12212.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps3f208fd6.jpg How I narrowed the wheels http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...pse160d6c1.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps3489e405.jpg |
I narrowed the wheel so it would clear the steering arm on the knuckle and at the same time get a slightly ballonish look
I can't even use the stock USA-1 wheels 'cos the steering arm on the knuckle is longer on the re-released Mad Force compared to the older version Here's how it looks with the narrowed wheel http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps0eec5765.jpg And if it was full width http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...psc293ef8d.jpg |
I had allot of fun building a freestyle track
Video ROCKSTAR Makita Freestyle http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...psae6fc518.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps7b0864c5.jpg And the crashes and jumps on tape Monster Truck Crashes ROCKSTAR Makita Morten |
Thats some good looking scale monster truck goodness right there!
