too good to be true? NAME BRAND 6s esc for 48 dollars

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dynamite-DYN...item43bc7d2306

check it out guys, I know dynamite is a decent brand and I know horizon will back up their shit with good support. This is unreal you guys, a 6s esc for under 50 dollars and Im finding more around the same price on ebay as well. Is this too good to be true? Im going to pull the trigger on this one tomorrow morning...

Brand name? I've never heard of them. I know LiPos and motors can cope with a lot for short periods of time so the ESC is effectively the fuse in most setups, but calling it the Fuze and Dynamite sounds like tempting fate in a similar way to the LiPos with pictures of flames on them.

Having said that $50 is an amazing price for an 1/8 scale ESC if it is up to the task, so let us know how it goes with the testing. If you could do back to back runs swapping it for an existing name brand ESC in a car and get temps of both at the end for comparison that would be awesome.

dynamite is a division of horizon hobby my friend, they have been around for some time now I believe

I looked them up and it seems to be a chain of model shops in America, apparently we do have one in the UK but it isn't local to me and it looks like they mainly do RTRs and RTFs, not something the word would spread about within my circles.

If you can get them at anything near that price from a bricks and mortar LHS that is above awesome as they will definitely stand behind it, whether they would do the same for because it is there "own brand" despite it being bought from a third party on ebay is another matter?

6s? Yes. 1/8 scale? Well....

It's specs and the fact it comes with 4mm bullet connectors make it really more of a tenth scale esc. It would be at it's limits in 1/8 scale vehicles. And what's with the 2400kv motor limit?

Got it today

Looks good. going to give it a try soon. the specs in the manual looks better than on the ebay page and the wiring is 12Ga and I didnt see anything about a motor limit

_paralyzed_ 08.03.2013 01:19 AM

Those specs are better. The motor limit was also listed on the ebay page.

What will you put it in? I'm damn curious to see how well this thing works now.

Going to try it this week, just got to get some more male traxxas connectors and I'm good to go. Going in my ofna gtpe going to give it a good 6S try, we will see how it holds up.

I'll be watching this as well. Curious if a programming card would work on this or if you just have to use the transmitter for programming? Might replace my Mamba Max pro's running 4s with these

Any news with this ESC? I'm still thinking about picking some of these up. Im hoping paired with a BEC they will hold up to a leopard 4082 1600kv or 4092 1480kv.
