Wheelie Bar

Hey Im wondering about this wheelie bar I bought. Will this wb mess with my hybrid bulks? Im thinking if the truck lands on the wb it could bend the hybrid bulkheads because it's attached. I guess those wheels would become my bumper too.

What do you guys think?

looks pretty heavy duty. Got a pic of it on the truck with whole truck.

How does it attach? Is that a wooden bumper?

coolhandcountry 05.29.2006 10:03 AM

looks like nick has just 4 screws go thru the bumper bracket in to the bulk brace.

Wooden bumper :005: What you dont like it?! The bumper is aluminum.

Here is a shot of the entire truck. I just wonder if my bulks are going to be bent if a hard landing occurs on the wheelie bar.

Maybe you should consider a Integy aluminum rear skid. They just came out with one that has a wheelie bar built in.

I bought that same wheelie bar capitol. I think that the screws that are holding it on just might be the weak spot, your bulks should be ok. The main thing that I didn't like about that wheelie bar is that it is too narrow. When the truck wheelies up on to the wheelie bar, it wobbles back and forth because the two little wheels are not spaced apart enough. That's just the issue that I had with it in the street. Wasn't as bad in the dirt.

i wouldnt worry about it really because if those are FLM Hybrids and you happen to bend them they would still be under warranty but the chances of you bending them are pretty slim.

My girl wants bullet holes on her truck, where did you get those? Or did you paint them on? thanks!

Yes, most of them are internal decals you can simply paint over. If your hobbyshop doesn't have them, check something like a Autozone. They have them sometimes for the exterior of cars.

I have seen them on ebay. I can't recall the guy i got some of my stickers from.
